Combined with our education and health programs, we provide the necessary tools for our youth to become successful, productive citizens. Background and Mission FASST Sports Association, Inc. (formerly The Falcons Track and Field Club, Inc.) is a community-centered, publicly supported, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization based in the Washington Metropolitan area that was established on January 2, 2001 by Dr. Malcolm P. Drewery, Jr., the President and Head Coach, along with the Vice-President, Carleen Martin and Secretary/Treasurer, Beverly Drewery upon recognizing the need to enhance the quality of life and the need to expand educational and athletic opportunities for the community youth. In 2010, the Falcon’s Track and Field Club, Inc. was renamed to FASST Sports Association, Inc. The Association was established with the same mission and goals; however a need was recognized to be more inclusive of all sports to increase the number of youths we could reach. The Association includes football, basketball, baseball/softball, boxing, and track and field. A knowledgeable and experienced Board of Directors was formed that would subscribe to the tenets of the Association with Dr. Drewery as President; Martez Taylor as Vice President/Secretary; and Eldon Hayman as Treasurer, along with an Executive Advisory Committee comprised of the Executive Directors/Presidents of each program. The Association membership consists of over 500 members, and many are multiple sport participants. The organization is now a member of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), USA Track and Field (USATF), USA Boxing, The Capital Beltway Football League (CBL), and Little League Baseball of America. The organization is an incorporated entity of the state of Maryland and determined to be a tax-exempt entity by the Internal Revenue Service.
